Who We Are

Servant’s Oasis was founded in 1993 as a nonprofit to support community and ministry leaders. Its mission is to help train, encourage, and refuel these unsung heroes so that they are able to continue their work with the support and resources they desperately need. Located in a picturesque corner of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Servant’s Oasis is developing our newly acquired property to provide a space for those in need to rest and heal from the wounds they’ve taken on in serving others.

The Agape Gardens are designed to provide a calming and therapeutic atmosphere, with elements such as water features, sculptures, and walking paths. Each of the future 12 gardens has a unique theme and purpose, such as the Garden of Tears, which is dedicated to giving our emotional pain to God, and the Garden of Courage, which offers encouragement and inspiration.

The impact of intentionally building up these servant-leaders will extend to the communities they serve in monumental ways. By helping them clarify their priorities, both for their mission and for themselves, we can ensure that their positive contributions continue far into the future.

Volunteers Play a Crucial Role in Our Ministry

We welcome any individuals or groups to join us who are committed to our mission of equipping, enriching, and empowering servant leaders. Our need for volunteers continues to grow as we expand our facilities and mission.

What’s New With Us…

Pond Update!

Exciting news! Work is currently in full swing for the restoration of the upper pond in the Agape Gardens, where the splendor of this water feature will soon be revitalized to host a vibrant display of greenery and the graceful presence of koi fish.

But this remarkable update wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our supporters who have contributed to our donor drive. Their kind donations have played an integral role in making this restoration project a reality.

We invite you to join us on Sunday, November 19th, for an exclusive Vision Tour of the grounds, where you can witness firsthand the incredible progress made, all thanks to the incredible support from our dedicated community.

Don’t forget to secure your spot and RSVP on the event page.

Your presence on this day will be a testament to the power of collective goodwill and shared passion for the Agape Gardens’ transformation.

The Word 10/27/2023

Our verse to DATE the Word on October 27 (10/27) is Proverbs 10:27. Proverbs 10:27 says, “The fear of the Lord prolongs days, But the years of the wicked will be shortened.”

FIGHTING the good fight BY FAITH, NOT FEAR!

From the very beginning of Proverbs to the very end, one of the central themes is the FEAR OF THE LORD. The fear of the Lord is taught as the way to experience a blessed life here on earth.   Occasionally it is contrasted with the fool or with the wicked as it is here in Proverbs 10:27.  Most of the time we find the BENEFITS that come from having a right relationship with God in which He is acknowledged as God and one stands in AWE of Him offering adoration and obedience.

Here the one who fears the Lord receives prolonged days.  The idea is they GET MORE OUT OF THE 24 hours.  While the wicked are in constant fear of being caught for something they did and having to cover things up, they are missing out on life.  Those living right with God will not have perfect lives but they will not be reaping the consequences of wickedness.  The lifestyle of the wicked may be pleasurable and profitable for a time, for a moment, but it is only for a short time.

God’s Word appeals to us to choose to FEAR THE LORD, choosing to fear Him as if our very life depended on it, because it does.
