Today’s reading: John 15:1-15

John 15:5 is one of my favorite Bible verses (so much so that I had this verse stenciled on my wall for quite a few years). I love how Jesus uses a familiar agricultural example to help us better understand the close and personal relationship He desires with us along with the benefit of this relationship.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (vs. 5).

What’s an example of you “bearing fruit” in the last week? Month? Year? How have you experienced Jesus’s statement that “apart from me you can do nothing”? How would you explain it to someone else? Tami
