Today’s reading: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

2 Timothy 3:16-17 is a foundational passage for me. I frequently read it because it reminds me of the precious and valuable gift that God’s Word is to us, and because it reinforces how important it is to be intentional about filling our minds with God’s true and perfect thoughts.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17, NLT).

Do you view and think about the Bible as being a gift from God to you? How have you experienced what Paul sets out in this passage with regard to your own spiritual journey (Realizing what’s true and what’s wrong from spending time in God’s Word; being motivated and equipped to do good things for God through engaging Scripture)?
