Today’s reading: 1 Corinthians 1:18-31

As we finish out 1 Corinthians 1, Paul turns our attention to God’s wisdom and power, and highlights how God’s thinking and ways are so unlike ours. He isn’t focused on or assigning value to us based on our outward appearance, our financial status, our intelligence or the things we’ve accomplished in the world. Instead, it pleases Him to use all people, and especially those that the world would label as weak, low and of little value, to do His greatest work. Thank you, God, for loving and using us for Your purposes exactly as we are!!

What did this passage reveal to you about God? What encouragement do you draw from the fact that God excels at using ordinary people to do His greatest work? Tami
