Today’s reading: 2 Timothy 2:20-21

I decided to focus on only two verses today rather than finishing out the remainder of chapter 2 because of the way I was drawn to Paul’s words about being an honorable vessel. I must have read this passage five or more times, and each time I got a little more excited and motivated. My thoughts were: “I want to be that honorable vessel! I want to be used by God! I want to be ready for every good work He has for me!” When I finished reading, I sent up a prayer to God asking Him to help me be an honorable vessel, and letting Him know that I am eager and ready for Him to use me today.

What encouragement did you draw from this short passage? Is it your desire to be: set apart for God, useful to God and ready for every good work He has for you? Tami
