Today’s reading: James 4:1-12
“Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?” (James 4:4)
The mindset of the world is certainly at odds with God’s standards and values. But even though we reside in the world, we don’t have to live and act like those of the world. When we keep our eyes focused on God and draw fully on the power of the Holy Spirit residing within us, we can live a life that is pleasing to God, and in so doing, be a bright and shining light for Him.
Living rightly for God is an everyday choice and undertaking. So how intentional are you about taking in God’s Word and praying on a daily basis? What are some things you do (actions you take) that help you stand firmly for God when you’re tempted to give in to the pull of worldly thinking? Tami
