Today’s reading: Acts 1:1-11

In Jesus’ final meeting with the disciples, He tells them about the coming gift of the Holy Spirit and then immediately declares “‘and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.'” (vs. 8) So Jesus assigns them their work (spreading the gospel message) and then promises them that they will receive power through the Holy Spirit to enable and equip them for the all-important task of being God’s ambassador that lies ahead.

How often do you think about the fact that you (like the first disciples) are an ambassador and witness for Christ? Are you intentional about talking with others about Christ and asking God to empower you as you do? In a typical week, how would you describe your witness for Christ? Tami
