Today’s reading: Psalm 107:1-43

The command to “let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble” (vs. 2) is a call to action that I absolutely champion. And I love the way the psalmist drives this point home by putting before us situation after situation followed by this repeated directive:

“Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!” (verses 8, 15, 21 and 31)

Satan loves to get into our minds and lead us to think that we’re not equipped to share our faith. That’s a lie! When we tell our story, in other words, when we talk with others about how God has protected, guided, provided for and walked alongside us through difficult times, we’re being a witness. We’re sharing our faith as we proclaim God and His love and goodness to a world that needs to know about God and have a relationship with Him.

If we’ve placed our faith in Christ, we all have a personal story to tell others about God’s love and forgiveness. But we also have multiple stories of God’s goodness that we can use to show and tell others about God and ultimately what Jesus did for us on the cross.

So take some time today to look back and consider how God has worked in your life with the specific purpose of honing in on a number of God stories. So what’s your story? And who will you tell your story (placing your faith in Christ and subsequent God stories) to this week? Tami
