Today’s reading: 2 Kings 10:28-36

Although Jehu was passionate about ridding Israel of the worship of Baal, his heart wasn’t fully devoted to worshiping and following God. So rather than removing all forms of idols and false gods in Israel, he left in place the golden calves constructed years earlier by Jeroboam which allowed and influenced the people of Israel to continue to live in sin.

“But Jehu was not careful to walk in the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel to sin” (vs 31).

How would you describe your relationship with God? Are you passionate about worshiping Him and living according to His Word? Tami
